This Privacy Policy describes how Tarly Bots collects, uses, and stores information when users interact with our Discord bots and services, including WordWiz, DailyQ, Jolly Roger, and other bots operated under the Tarly Bots brand.
By using our bots or website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Data Collection
Tarly Bots only stores the minimum amount of data reasonably required to provide and operate its bots and services. Tarly Bots does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as real names, email addresses, payment card information, or the contents of private Discord messages.
Depending on the bot and features used, Tarly Bots may store technical identifiers provided by Discord, including:
Discord Guild (Server) ID
Discord Channel ID
Discord User ID
These identifiers allow bot data and settings to be associated with the correct Discord users, servers, and channels.
3. Bot Configuration Data and Game Data
Some bots store configuration settings that allow their features to work correctly.
For DailyQ, the following server settings may be stored:
Guild (server) ID
Channel ID where the question should be posted
Scheduled posting time
Server time zone
User ID of the user who scheduled the feature
Free or premium tier status
Whether the bot should mention @here
Date a subscription was activated (if applicable)
This information is used solely to operate the bot’s scheduling and premium feature system.
For Jolly Roger, stored data may include:
Discord Guild (Server) ID
Discord Channel ID used for game events
Discord User ID
Player coin balance
Ship information, including ship name and health
Inventory, equipped items, and other game items
Adventure progress and unlocks
Map pieces and other collectible progress
Battle and gameplay state, including applicable cooldowns
Active magical item effects and related game state
Premium entitlement or tier information, where applicable
Server-specific game configuration
This information is used to maintain persistent player progress and provide Jolly Roger’s gameplay features.
4. How Data is Used
Stored data is used only for the functionality of the bots.
Examples include:
Delivering scheduled daily questions
Remembering server configuration settings
Determining access to premium features
Preventing duplicate content
Maintaining bot functionality
Maintaining player progress and game state
Processing battles, adventures, rewards, inventories, and other game features
Tarly Bots does not use collected data for advertising, profiling, or tracking users.
5. Third-Party Services
Some Tarly Bots features rely on third-party services in order to function.
For example, WordWiz uses the Merriam-Webster Dictionary API to retrieve word definitions, synonyms, and antonyms.

In addition, the Tarly Bots website and infrastructure may rely on third-party hosting providers or services which may collect limited technical information required to operate the service (such as server logs or anonymized usage data).
Tarly Bots does not control the privacy practices of third-party services, and users should review their respective privacy policies for more information.
6. Purchases and Premium Subscriptions
Some bots, such as DailyQ and Jolly Roger, may offer optional paid features through one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions.
When a user or server makes a purchase or receives premium access, Tarly Bots may store technical information required to provide and maintain that purchase or access, such as the associated Discord Guild ID or User ID, purchase or entitlement status, tier, purchased digital items or virtual currency, and relevant activation or expiration information.
Payment processing and billing are handled by third-party platforms such as Discord, and Tarly Bots does not receive or store payment information such as credit card numbers or billing details.
7. Data Storage and Security
Tarly Bots uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect stored data from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
Data is retained only for as long as necessary to operate the bots and provide their features.
8. Data Removal
Server owners may request deletion of stored data associated with their server. Individual users may also request deletion of stored data associated with their Discord User ID where applicable.

Requests may require sufficient information to identify the relevant Discord account or server. Relevant stored data will be deleted where technically possible and where retention is not otherwise required for legitimate operational, security, legal, or financial purposes.
Removing a bot from a server does not necessarily delete previously stored data. Server owners or individual users may contact Tarly Bots to request deletion as described above.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
Continued use of the bots after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
